We have been catching good numbers of mid sized Spanish mackerel on the troll, mostly on deep diving minnows.
Popper fishermen have been catching (and losing) GTs and particularly big Red Bass.
The Red Bass is a member of the Snapper (Lutjanid) family and is a close relative of the Mangrove Jack. It is a hugely impressive fish, bright orange and with wicked teeth. We have caught them up to about 10kg; they hit hard and dive for the reef!
